Now Hiring for Camp Toccoa:

2023 Summer Staff: Hiring is now open for the following positions:

Camp Toccoa Counselors (overnight Residence Camp and Owanyake Day Camp)
Camp Toccoa Unit Director/Activities Directors

Archery/Sports & Games
Arts & Crafts
Backpacking
Canoeing & 1 Whitewater rafting trip
Climbing Tower (21+ and certified)
Waterfront (21+ and Lifeguard certified)
Camp Toccoa Assistant Camp Director/Counselor in Training Director
Camp Toccoa Seasonal Camp Director

Staff Training: Some training will be conducted online in April – May. Certification Trainings will be the week prior to Memorial Day. The remainder of staff training will be held May 30 – June 3.

Hiring for Doyle Street Pool:

Doyle Street Pool Lifeguard Position Description –  Maintains constant surveillance of patrons in the facility; acts immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency. Provides emergency care and treatment as required until the arrival of emergency medical services. Must be American Red Cross lifeguard certified. Minimum age is 15.

Hiring for Camp Fire After School:

After School by Camp Fire Substitute:  $12.00/hour days worked (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Substitutes must be 18 years of age and have reliable transportation. Be “on call” for specified days of the week in the event of a staff illness or emergency.

The following positions are currently filled:

After School by Camp Fire Coordinator: $18.00/hour for 25 hours weekly average (Specific times will vary)
Coordinator must be 20 years of age and have reliable transportation. Pick up snacks and supplies weekly and portion each per school program. Deliver to each school site at the beginning of the week. Create and provide attendance sheets for each school, and file attendance sheets electronically for the previous week. Create Camp Fire Programming at least 2 weeks in advance (materials provided for this) and ensure sites have necessary supplies. Inform Executive Director when additional staff are needed at each location. Work with Leaders to resolve any concerns at each site and be physically present on a periodic basis to greet during pick-up in order to ensure parent(s)/guardian(s) have access to Program management. Other duties as assigned.

After School by Camp Fire Leader:  $12.50/hour for 15 hours weekly average (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Leaders must be 18 years of age and have reliable transportation. Receive supplies weekly from the Coordinator. Check attendance daily and return attendance sheet to the Coordinator the following week. Lead participants through daily schedule of activities, including the Camp Fire Program for the week. A two-hour training period is required, but training from other programs may be accepted in lieu of portions.  Other duties as assigned.

After School by Camp Fire Assistant:  $12.00/hour for 15 hours weekly average (3:00 PM – 6:00 PM)
Must be at least 16 years of age and have reliable transportation. Work under the supervision of the Camp Fire Leader. You will assist the Leader with activities, snacks, homework, and a weekly Camp Fire Program. A two-hour (paid) training program is required prior to working, but training from other programs may be accepted in lieu of portions. Other duties as assigned.
