About Winter Camp
Winter Camp 2018 will replace Clyde T’s Rock’n New Years Eve for the 2018 season. Winter Camp is for new campers who want to experience overnight camp at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa for the first time or returning campers who want to reunite with friends and staff. Campers in kindergarten grade through 10th grade will have a chance to experience the magic Camp Fire Camp Toccoa has to offer while enjoying the crisp fall air and beautiful colors.
What to Expect
Campers should expect to have a great time; full of fun and adventure! Experience sleeping in the cabins, eating in the dining hall, making new friends and trying new things. Your favorite camp activities – archery, arts and crafts, canoeing, hiking, sports, games and more. (Horseback riding will not be offered during Winter Camp). Fun evening programs – hike to Quarry Rock, make s’mores, sing camp songs, play new and exciting games all while visiting with your friends and favorite counselors.
Lodging & Meals
Everyone will stay our heated cabins in the main camp area. Campers will be grouped according to age and gender, cabin mate requests can be made but are not guaranteed for Winter Camp. Meals and snacks are provided throughout the weekend (lunch Saturday through breakfast Sunday). Please note on the registration form if your camper is a vegetarian. If your camper has other special dietary needs please contact Camp Fire Camp Toccoa at (706) 886-2457 as you may be asked to send additional food items from home.
Winter Camp weekend will be held at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa in Northeast Georgia.
*Transportation spaces are limited and sold on a first come first serve basis.
For campers being dropped-off and picked-up at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa, we are located on Highway Alternate 17, inside the Toccoa city limits. Our street address is 92 Camp Toccoa Drive Toccoa, GA 30577. The camp is one-half mile north of Stephens County Hospital and one-half mile south of the The Links at Lake Toccoa Golf Course.
- On-site Drop-Off is between 12:00-12:30 pm on Saturday, December 8th. Lunch will be served.
- On-site Pick-Up is at 6:30 pm on Saturday, December 8th for those staying the day only.
- On-site Pick-Up is between 10:30 and 11:00 am on Sunday, December 9th for those staying overnight.
*PLEASE NOTE UPDATED ADDRESS!* For campers using transportation from Atlanta, the drop-off site will be REI Sandy Springs. The street address is: 1165 Perimeter Center W #200, Atlanta, GA 30338
- Drop-Off is between 9:00 and 9:30 am on Saturday, December 8th.
- Be aware that the vans will be leaving promptly at 9:30 am.
- Pick-Up is between 12:30 and 1:00 pm on Sunday, December 9th.
Camp staff have been trained in CPR and First Aid. In the event of sickness, fever, or injuries that require medical attention the parent will be notified and asked to pick the participant up early from the event.
Each camper is required to have a Basic Medical History. The form must be emailed to email@example.com by Friday, December 1st. *Campers who attended Camp Fire Camp Toccoa during the summer of 2018 should contact Camp Fire Camp Toccoa at (706) 886-2457 to ensure their medical form is on file.
What to Pack
Make sure to pack weather-appropriate clothes; hat, gloves, and a rain jacket are recommended as campers will be
participating in outdoor activities. Bring a warm sleeping bag, pillow, sheets and any toiletries that you need. Shower shoes (flip flops) for the bathhouse, a flashlight and water bottle are also needed. Closed toe shoes and socks are required at all times. We encourage campers not to bring any cell phones or electronic devices as they will be collected and kept by camp staff during the weekend. Camp Fire Camp Toccoa is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged, or forgotten cell phones and/or electronic devices. Camp Fire Camp Toccoa will not mail any items left at camp.
Camp Fire Camp Toccoa operates a small Trading Post, where campers may purchase small trinkets. Campers may bring cash to purchase these items over the weekend. Camp Fire Camp Toccoa will not be opening camper accounts in the Trading Post (as we do in the summer) and will not be responsible for lost or stolen money.

Tours of Camp Fire Camp Toccoa are not available during check in / check out. Our staff will be occupied welcoming campers and their families. For the safety of the campers parents and other guests are not permitted to take a self-guided tour at this time.
