Outdoor Adventures

As we await the safe return of overnight camp, Outdoor Adventures is the next best thing! Outdoor Adventures is great for new campers who want to experience “camp magic” for the first time. This program is also perfect for those returning campers who want to  reunite with old friends and staff, all while making new friends and memories.

We expect all of our campers to have a great time, full of fun and adventure. This outdoor focused camp will include favored camp activities – archery, canoeing,  arts & crafts, hiking, sports and more! Evening programming will include camp fires with s’mores, camp songs, games and visiting with friends, both new and old.  Those taking part in Outdoor Adventures will sleep under the stars at our breathtaking rock quarry.

Rising 1st grade – Rising 12th grade.
All means are included.

 $90 per adventure*
Transportation is an additional $25 per child.

*Our tiered pricing structure will give us some added flexibility that we hope will allow anyone to attend camp without raising prices for everyone! Please read each one when registering and pick the tier that best fits your families needs. This is strictly an honor system and in no way reflects the type of program your child will receive.

Groups & Meals 

Campers will be assigned to groups by age and gender but will choose their own activity schedule.  All campers will sleep at our breathtaking rock quarry.   In case of rain, the camp out will be moved to our covered pavilion under our dining area.   Meals and snacks are provided throughout the weekend (lunch Saturday through breakfast Sunday).   Please note on the registration form if your camper is a vegetarian.  If your campers has other special dietary needs please contact Camp Fire Camp Toccoa at (706) 886-2457 as you may be asked to send additional form items from home.

Drop Off & Pick Up

Outdoor Adventures will be held at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa in Northeast Georgia. *Transportation spaces are limited and sold on a first come first serve basis.

Without Transportation: 
For campers being dropped-off and picked-up at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa, we are located on Highway Alternate 17, inside the Toccoa city limits.  Our street address is 92 Camp Toccoa Drive Toccoa, GA 30577.   The camp is one-half mile north of Stephens County Hospital and one-half mile south of the The Links at Lake Toccoa Golf Course.

On-site Drop-Off will be between 12:15 and 12:30 pm.   Lunch will be served.
On-site Pick-Up will be between 9:45-10:00  am.  Breakfast will be served.   

With Transportation:  For campers using transportation from Atlanta, the drop-off site will be at REI Sandy Springs  1165 Perimeter CTR W  Sandy Springs, GA  30328

REI Drop-Off  will be between 9:45-10:00 am.
REI Pick-Up will be between 11:15-11:30  am.

You will be required to show photo ID when signing out a camper.

Campers picked late will be charged a late fee of:

$10 for within the first half hour

$20 for every additional half hour


Camper will be able to create their own activity schedule. Activity choices will include archery, canoeing, arts & crafts, hiking, sports and more! Camp Fire Camp Toccoa will offer barn yard (petting farm) but will not have full size horses / horseback lessons for Overnight Adventures. Evening programing will include a campfire with s’mores, camp songs, games and more.

Covid 19 Policies

Do not send your camper if they are not feeling well, have been sick, or have been around someone who has been diagnosed with COVID19. Health and wellness is a top priority for Camp Fire Camp Toccoa . All campers and staff must submit to temperature screening and health checks upon arrival. Anyone with a temperature of 100.2 degrees or higher may not attend.  Anyone knowingly exposed to someone with COVID must follow CDC guidelines for quarantine. A snug fitting make to cover the mouth and nose is required for transportation and when social distancing is not possible throughout the weekend. Everyone will be asked to wash their hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. Hand sanitizer will also be available in multiple locations.   Parents / guardians must back arrangements for their camper to be picked up if their camper has a temperature of 100.2 degrees or higher.

Medical Forms

Our full time staff members have been trained in CPR & First Aid.   In the event of sickness, fever or injuries that required medical attention the parent/guardian will be notified and asked to pick up the participant from the event.

Each camper is required to have a Basic Medical History.   The form must be emailed to info@camptoccoa.org  no later than the Monday before the event.  

All prescriptions medication must be received in its original container accompanied by the Overnight Adventure Medication Administration Record  Only the exact amount of medication required for the weekend will be accepted.

What to Pack

A snug fitting make to cover the mouth and nose is required for transportation and when social distancing is not possible throughout the weekend.

Make sure to pack weather-appropriate clothes:  your camper may need a hat and gloves or they may need sunscreen, you never know in Georgia!   A rain jacket is recommended as campers will be participating in outdoor activities.   Campers need to bring a warm sleeping bag, pillow, sheets and any toiletries they will need.   Shower shoes (flip flops) for the bathhouse, a flashlight and water bottle are also needed.   Closed toe shoes and socks are required at all times.   For those who have never attended Camp Fire Camp Toccoa before please view the Overnight Adventure Packing List

Campers are not to bring cell phones or any other electronic device as they will be collected and kept by the camper staff during the weekend.   Camp Fire Camp Toccoa is not responsible for any lost, stolen, damaged or forgotten cell phones/electronics, etc.   Camp Fire Camp Toccoa will not mail any items left at camp.  

Please do not send your camper with snacks or any outside food/drinks.

Trading Post

Camp Fire Camp Toccoa operates a small Trading Post, where campers may purchase snacks.  Campers may bring cash to purchase these items over the weekend. Camp Fire Camp Toccoa will not be opening camper accounts in the Trading Post (as we do in the summer) and will not be responsible for lost or stolen money.   $10-$20 is the recommend amount for weekend camps.   Small bills are preferred but not required. 


Tours of Camp Fire Camp Toccoa are not available during check in / check out.   Our staff will be occupied welcoming campers and their families.   For the safety of the campers parents and other guests are not permitted to take a self-guided tour at this time.   If you would like to tour Camp Fire Camp Toccoa please call our office at (706) 886-2457 to make arrangements on a date prior to the event.
