We are always looking for dedicated volunteers. Volunteers are a large part of our organization and add to the success of our program. Together we work to create a safe and fun environment for campers all year long. Volunteering is also a great way to gain community service hours, add to a resume or school application, make new friends, gain new skills, and help others. We hope you’ll join our team!
To sign up for volunteer work days, or if you’re interested in other volunteer opportunities, please complete the Volunteer Interest Form.

Upcoming 2025 Work Days:
Come join us this fall on October 5th, November 2nd, and/or December 7th!
About WoHeLo Work Days
WoHeLo Work Days at Camp Fire Camp Toccoa are an opportunity for alumni, staff, and friends of camp to come together and show their dedication to the Camp Fire motto of “Give Service”. These days are a fun and exciting volunteer opportunity for campers of all ages.
What to Expect
A day of fun and work. We typically gather near the main camp office and break into teams. Every hour you donate to Camp Toccoa is a true gift and helps with grant applications and United Way appeals. We greatly appreciate your help and support.
Who Can Attend
Adults, families, individuals, college organizations, youth groups, school clubs, and each and every one are welcome. All minors must be accompanied by an adult and have a Volunteer Minor Waiver on file. All others must have a Volunteer Waiver.
Youth Participation
Youth (11th grade) will be under the supervision of their chaperone(s) at all times. Those who complete 8 hours or more will be provided with a community service letter, as needed.

Meals and Lodging
Meals will be on your own. Feel free to bring a cooler or run into town and visit one of the restaurants in Toccoa. Refrigerated space will not be available. Please bring water so you can stay hydrated. If you would like to stay overnight on the weekend of a workday, you are welcome to do so, and will need to register.
What to Bring
Water bottle, long pants (required for most projects), closed toes shoes, extra clothing in case you get wet or dirty. If staying overnight: pajamas, toiletries, towel, shower shoes, bedding, flashlight, snacks, board games or other evening entertainment. Camp Fire Camp Toccoa has tools for each project but you are always welcome and encouraged to bring extra. Helpful tools include gloves, rakes, shovels, and so forth. Please label your items with your name.
